The PSRM Coordinator works with operations to ensure compliance with both OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 (PSM) and EPA 40 CFR Part 68 (RMP) and advises all key stakeholders on company requirements to fulfill this obligation.  This position reports to the Director of Health and Safety.

  • Responsible for ongoing support of PSM/RMP programs at Company regulated facilities and fulfilling obligations as outlined in the Company PSM and RMP Manual, including but not limited to:
    • Entering Process Safety and Risk Management events, recommendations, or corrective actions associated with PHAs, PSM/RMP Incident Investigations, and Compliance Audits into the Company EHS Management Software;
    • Developing and leading Process Safety and Risk Management Training;
    • Coordinating with Kinetik Project teams to fulfill PSM/RMP regulatory requirements specific to the project (PSI, PHA, etc.);
    • Assisting operations/engineering in maintaining current and accurate Operating Procedures;
    • Assisting operations in selecting and developing training materials to support Operator Training Programs;
    • Overseeing Company Permit to Work programs, including development, coaching, and required training;
    • Overseeing eMOC conformance using the Company EHS Management Software;
    • Assisting operations/engineering in maintaining site specific Risk Management Plans, and serving as the RMP Prepare in EPA’s CDX database;
    • Assisting operations/engineering with maintaining accurate plant documentation via the eMOC and Document Control processes;
    • Oversee Company Emergency Response capabilities, including but not limited to:

Location: Balmorhea, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mechanic will safely and efficiently perform maintenance on all equipment as direct by his/her Maintenance Supervisor.

  • This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
    • Provide technical advice and support for the safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating equipment, including engines, compressor frames, generators, motors, and pumps
    • Operate Compressor Stations within company, local, and state guidelines. Including compressor units, dehydration systems, separation tanks and filter vessels.
    • Analyze engines for optimum performance and optimize for fuel and cost efficiency while providing flow assurance and meeting emissions criteria
    • Coordinate air program requirements with HSE team, including scheduling/conducting emissions testing
    • Stay abreast of manufacturer’s recommendations/improvements for preventative maintenance and for any upgrades, and ensure timely completion as appropriate
    • Ensure engine oil samples are pulled, analyzed, and acted upon accordingly
    • Coordinate inventory of spare and critical parts
    • Utilize SAP to generate and confirm work orders

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
    • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical technology is preferred
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment maintenance
    • Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and a good background in computer applications
    • Must be available for call-outs 24 hours/day, 7 days a week
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with CAT 3600 Natural Gas Engine Maintenance
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with Ariel Compressor Maintenance

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to work out doors in extreme weather and perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds in a safe manner
  • Must be available for overtime and call – outs 24 hours/day, 7 days a week, as needed Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Travel to Facilities for installation /upgrade of SCADA & network systems.
  • Conduct /perform factory acceptance test & site acceptance test for network systems and SCADA.
  • Prepare & maintain technical documentation related to SCADA/Network/Cyber Security for internal (SCADA, Operations, Engineering).
  • SCADA network Infrastructure and advanced network administration.
  • Capacity to isolate, troubleshot problems and elaborate resolution plans.
  • Capacity to design and implement OT network solutions.
  • Experience in management of communication devices from different vendors.
  • Able to support & deploy or troubleshoot VPN, DMZ solutions.
  • Supports project teams in SCADA & network upgrade /update process and / or services.
  • Works closely with other departments (IT, Automation, SCADA, Measurement, E&I, Operations, Marketing and Engineering) regarding using automation and technology to accomplish Business objectives.
  • Assists in estimating as needed for budgetary planning for any control system upgrades, projects, as well as software support and licensing.
  • Responds as needed to emergency or urgent issues regarding the facility control and communication systems.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedure

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and relevant certifications.
  • Highly preferred to have 6+ (6) years of business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years related to OT or Cyber Security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must have experience in the installation and maintenance of OT networking, Layer 2/3 switching, routing, VPN and firewalls.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
